IN BOTANY, the name Aloe applies to about 360 different species of plants, all of them belonging to the same family world wide. It is a subspecies of the Liliacee family. Aloe has a structure that makes it suitable for living in dry and hot climates. Its leaves contain a kind of particular tissue, a sort of plant mucilage, that can retain big quantities of water.
