NONI FROM THE PACIFIC
Noni juice has been one of the fundamental elements of popular medicine
in the Pacific area for around two thousand years where it has been used
for gastrointestinal problems, skin irritations, infections and fever.
Noni juice contains cumarine, terpenoids, polysaccarides, vitamins A & C, carotene, linoleic acid, aminoacids, rutin, potassium and selenium. It also provides some alkaloids that can modify protein structure and so is useful in problems caused by protein anomalies. Due to the vitamin C & selenium contento Noni juice has an elevated antioxidant activity and can be considered an important scavenger of free radicals.
